Fairweather's theory of happiness is wonderful. He listed 6 conditions to achieve happiness, such as self-knowledge, self control and so on. It really interests me. I have the same feeling as his. In my opinion, everything aims the good. Some of the goods we pursue are activities, such as working out, and some are products of activities, such as good grade on exam. Human being sometimes works for happiness and not a state that can just exist forever without struggle. People may think that happiness means having lots of money, having a great job, beautiful girl. Not exactly, I don't think every rich man is happy in their lives. They are facing many pressures everyday. They are complained by families because they don't have time to stay at home. They want to be happy, but they are not allowed. Some people also think that poor people never have happiness. It's totally wrong. I really agree Fairweather said that happiness was about meta-satisfaction. Satisfaction means confidentely accept something. People who may confidentely accept what they face everyday, they are happy people. Like homeless, they just want to get enough food every day, and places to live, they can be happy. So what is happiness? Happiness is the highest human activities of satisfaction.
