Gaia: Goddess of Earth Gaia is an ancient goddess and is thought to have been born along with creation. She is credited with populating the world. She does not have many myths about her instead she is remembered as the Mother of other gods.
Aphrodite: Goddess of Love
Aphrodite is the goddess of love and beauty. She is thought to be one of the most beautiful goddesses. She is thought to be born of sea foam and the daughter of Zeus. After she was born Zeus married her off to as steady god named Hephaestus for fear that other gods would fight over Aphrodite. Aphrodite had many lovers including the mortal Adonis.

Below is a youtube video of Aphrodite. It does a good job of showing her sexuality and how she was born of the sea. Unfortunatly I was unable to embed the link on the page.

Demeter: Goddess of FertilityDemeter is the goddess of fertility, grain, and harvest. Since the Greeks relied on grain and harvest, she was worshiped at festivals to bring the harvest. She is also closely related to fertility, which was another important reliant of the Greeks. Many of her myths have to do with fertility. She is symbolized by a torch.
Athena: Goddess of WisdomAthena is the goddess of wisdom and war. Athena gave Athens the gift of the olive tree and provided food and wood for the city. Athena is the child of Zeus and Metis. She is the patron goddess of Athens and is known as the “Virgin Goddess.”
The Gods and Goddess' of Greek mythology are alive in our pop culture today. In the Disney Movie Hercules and in the Disney Television show, kids are being introduced to Greek Mythology at a very young age. I think it is awesome that Disney made this movie and t.v series because it opens the minds of children and at least gets them thinking about the greek gods and goddess'. Maybe it inspires them to pretend to be a god or goddess. Below are a few pictures of the Goddess above as Disney portrays them, followed by a brief Hercules T.V Clip. The clip would not embed so click on the link!

This is the Television poster.

The character with a purple body is suppose to be Aphrodite.

The blue character with armor on her head is Athena.

In this picture is Athena (front), Aphrodite (back), and also Demeter (blue character with plant on her head).

Below is a youtube video of Aphrodite. It does a good job of showing her sexuality and how she was born of the sea. It is from Xena Warrior Princess and may be a little cheesy- but it gets its point across well. Unfortunately I was unable to embed the link on the page.
