Theodicy is a mixture of PHILOSOPHY and THEOLOGY meant to be some sort of Reformation of Good and Evil. What is good? What is evil? These are all questions that would be answered through the use of THEODICY, by philosophers both asking and answering the questions alike. [1]
Christology is simply the study of Jesus Christ. His life, what he accomplished, how he accomplished it.
Determinism is a mixture of predestination and prior occurrences, where every actual event has already been, in fact, determined. "THEOLOGICAL DETERMINISM is the thesis that there is a God who determines all that humans will do, either by knowing their actions in advance, or by decreeing their actions in advance." [2]
Existentialism basically states that each individual is solely responsible for his/her own actions, not God. Albert Camus, who wrote Myth of Sisyphus, wrote about EXISTENTIAL themes that popularized existentialism. Others proclaimed "God is dead." Nonetheless, existentialism basically denounced God from being responsible for the doings of the public. THEOLOGICAL EXISTENTIALISM "shares tenets and themes that are central to atheistic existentialism just as atheistic existentialists can freely choose not to believe in God, theistic existentialists can freely choose to believe in God, and despite doubt, have faith that God exists." [3]
A Matriarch is a female ruler, who must be the eldest in a family. Queen "Bloody" Mary (1516-1554)was a devout Catholic, whom persecuted Protestants. Mary ordered the St. Bartholemew (sp?) Day massacre, which killed over 3000 Huguenots who were Protestants, who refused to convert to Catholicism. Please let me know if there is anything I left out. Hope this answers your inquiries!
