Global Warming spoof

I am not really into politics much, I care enough to vote wisely, but that's about it. I would consider myself a republican and like that Bush has a relationship with Jesus Christ. Is he perfect? Does he do everything he should and do it right? No. Even though I think Will Ferrel is hilarious and love almost everything he does, I still feel as though our presidents get way too much crap. Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending them, just saying I'd like to see those who hassle them to see if they could do the job any better. As far as global warming goes, I do think there are many ways we can slow it down or diminish it in our lifetime. There are ways, but I'm not really sold that enough people in our lifetime will change THEIR ways. Leonardo Dicaprio is making/has mad a film about this issue. Here is the preview of it: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=12416787

With the situation of global warming there are many different opinions and views. One that i thought was amusing was on the website: http://www.intellectualconservative.com/2007/12/11/global-warming-lies-create-a-climate-of-crisis/
This website was basically looking at global warming from the conservative point of view saying that there is no global warming which we all know is accuring.
They said things like, the Protocol is based entirely on a lie that predicts dramatic and imminent global warming. Global warmers insist that carbon dioxide emissions must be reduced, but carbon dioxide does not cause climate change. Climatologists will tell you that any rise in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere does not precede, but follows warming cycles. The Earth, over billions of years, has gone through cycles of warming and cooling that are well established. It has gone through periods when the CO2 content in the atmosphere was far higher than today. The latest cooling period is called the mini-ice age and lasted from around 1300 to 1850. The Earth has been warming naturally since then. There is no dramatic warming occurring. Predictions of this are based on totally flawed computer models, none of which can begin to approximate the sheer chaos and complexity of the Earth’s weather system. i do agree with you of how people are just making global warming very worse by not doing something about it. also even though there are people who do care it is just not enough because there are people who do not give a damm about anything just themselves. we need a change to make it better or else everything will go even worse.

I think it is egotistical for people to think that they can affect the climate of the Earth very much. We refuse to take the Sun in to account in computer models, but my SUV can destroy the whole planet. It all comes down to how good life is at the time. Now that the economy has begun to decline, there are no programs on global warming or living "green". People can not afford the added cost of these luxuries.

We should all care about the stewardship of the planet, but it can not be allowed to interfere with progress. To think that you personally can do anything to stop global warming is absurd. Take a look at the sky any day, see that big glowing thing? Its called the sun and it is pretty hot!

I agree not everyone is perfect and they can have a religion such as believing in the lord Jesus Christ, in my opinion though. I do believe that people can change. Do you find this valuable?

There are lots of methods to avoid Global Warming. Replace coal, oil and natural gas plants for generating electricity by nuclear plants. Unfortunately, generating electricity without putting CO2 into the atmosphere probably wouldn't be enough if the global warming problem is serious. The next step is to use nuclear produced electricity for space heating and other direct uses of heat. Another approach is to use hydrogen generated by splitting water with (say) nuclear electricity. Cars powered by liquid hydrogen have the potential of matching the performance of gasoline powered vehicles. The hydrogen tanks will need three times the internal volume of gasoline tanks and still greater external size because of the insulation required. BMW has demonstrated a liquid hydrogen powered internal combustion engine car. Schemes for using hydrogen in other forms than liquid are unlikely to have the required range Do you find this valuable?
